JRK SUCCESS STORY

He Knew His Gaps. He Chose to Fix Them First.

The Question Every Student Asks

"I have some gaps in my technical skills. Is it the right time to go straight into a Master's?"

Many students dreaming of studying in Finland carry this question quietly. Mahtab Hossen did too. Today, he is in Finland, walking the path he once only imagined. This is the story of how he got there.

A Real Student. A Real Story.

Mahtab shared his journey in a live webinar hosted by JRK International Educational Consultants, in conversation with Zohadur Rahim. This was no scripted success story. It was a real student, speaking openly about his real experience.

The Decision: Why Mahtab Chose a PGD in Finland?

After his undergraduate studies, Mahtab felt there were gaps in his software engineering skills. Before jumping into a full Master's, he wanted to strengthen his foundation. So he chose the Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Software Engineering at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

The coursework is essentially the same as a Master's. The difference is that there is no thesis. That gave him the chance to build practical, hands-on skills first, before taking on thesis pressure.

Finding the Right Fit, with JRK

A decision like this isn't easy to make alone. Which university offers which course? Which one fits your profile? This is exactly where JRK stepped in. Mahtab was looking for programs in his field, and JRK consultant Rubina, understanding his interests and academic background, helped him find the right one.

10 Months. Every Step Covered.

From application to visa, the journey took about 10 months. JRK was beside him throughout:

•        University application guidance: clear information on each university's requirements and whether an application fee applies

•        University interview support: help arranging and preparing for the admission interview

•        Visa file preparation: step-by-step guidance to organize the documents for both Mahtab and his spouse

•        Two mock visa interviews: so he felt fully prepared before the real one

Support That Didn't Stop at Office Hours

One thing Mahtab pointed out deserves special mention. Whenever he had a question or a worry, the JRK team was there, even outside office hours, even on late-night calls. In a process full of uncertainty, having someone reliably by your side means a lot.

No Hidden Charges, From Start to Finish

For Mahtab, JRK's biggest strength was transparency. The commitments made at the start were the same 10 months later. No hidden costs. Even the extra support, like the mock interviews, came without additional charges.

Life as a Student in Finland Today

Mahtab describes Finland as a beautiful, well-organized country. With autumn setting in, the environment feels warm and welcoming. Accommodation typically costs around €450 to €700 per month, depending on the type of housing.

Mahtab's Advice for Future Students

•        Start learning the local language before you arrive

•        Learn to drive. Both skills are highly valued

•        In Finland, every kind of work is respected. Even educated professionals take up jobs like cleaning to gain practical experience

Why Students Trust JRK

Mahtab's experience answers it: transparency, personal guidance, visa interview preparation, and a team that is always there. It is because of this trust that he recommends JRK to his own friends.
